The basic types of the calendars
Below it is
considered 4 basic types of calendars:
- solar calendar [units of measurement
(Gregorian, tropical) - days, months, solar years],
- lunar-solar
calendar [units of measurement (Petin-Meton) - days,
lunar months, lunar years, Meton
cycles],
- astronomical
calendar [units of measurement (Gregorian, tropical) Ц days, months, solar
years],
- independent
calendar [units of measurement Ц no months or
years Ц tropical days].
The solar
and lunar-solar calendars are the civil calendars.
The
astronomical calendar intends for the different calculating,
The
independent calendar has no months or years, but
merely counts the days since the
beginning ( 0 ) of the PETIN-METON Calendar epoch, which
was at
calendar can be applied for
calculations, and also as way station for the conversion of
a date from one calendar to
another calendar.
